Thursday I had the
The glass is all shaded and I feel like I'm in a cave. Skoot the seat up to the dash so I can reach the pedals, and take off. This truck is a short wheel base and I feel like I am riding a bucking bronco...the horse kind, not the Ford kind. I reach the highway and things smooth out a little. People are passing me and I look down, forty miles a hour! I speed up then I look again and I'm going sixty!
No one's waving because they can't see me. I thought this heavy tint was illegal??
The reason I was
It felt good to get a few calls, asking Where's the dash light? Where's the wipers? I knew I was not the only one having a
Vehicles of supporters follow the bus because no one knows where they were going. Hubby calls and four cars had to stop and
I am safely parked, keys removed because the blooming doors lock automatically! I am not moving an inch, in for the evening. I wish I could say the same for my car.

It is funny how other cars are foreign to our brains.
Don't ya hate when other people drive your vehicle and ya get in and have to reset the mirror position, seat position etc.....
I dont drive, I can , I mean I was driving just about everything on the farm as a kid lol just havent bothered to get it done leagally lol A bit late now I think 45 and getting a learners permit um to late !but I hate it when some one tampers with my seat and adjusts it I am short and I like my seat to stay as I set it ! Awesome post love the scratched out words lol ! Have a wonderful day !
I hate when I'm (forced) privileged to drive somethin' I'm not familiar with. My lists involve Semi's, planters, big tractors and the like.
I do it 'cause I'm a farm wife! Heeehehehe!!!
Have a fantastically blessed weekend sweetie! :o)
Giggles my friend, I know that feeling, I always feel out of place in another car, seems like I reach for things that are not there, have a great day, hugs♥
We have a car and a truck, both manufactured before PT cruisers were on the market. We switch them back and forth depending on who is driving the farthest that day. That is worse then even the mirror and seat adjustment. Having to move all your crap from one to the other, what are you forgetting? What are you stuck with all day in the car with you? Will it start to stink? Where is your banana? Didnt you have one yesterday? Check book? In the trunk? At Hubby's work? Great!
I love my hubby's truck, but only if he drives it.
Thing is? I drive a Suburban, which is technically just as big, but it doesn't feel like it when I'm driving it.
Hope everyone got home safely!
Hahaha . . . great post!!!! I totally relate!
I had a 2001 PT...first year they came out...I waited an entire year to get it as they were so backlogged...put 230,000 miles on that car before it croaked on me...
Going between a big vehicle and a light vehicle can be harrowing...they drive so different and everything is not where it should be...plus everything you carry is not in both vehicles...my vehicle has everything I might need...hubby's has nothing at all...it's bare...no fun at all...
I only enjoy driving my car too- and I don't want anyone else driving it either. She's a 1985 Mercedes and I never want a new car!
I know that feeling well. You would think a car was a car but really they seem to be like people, everyone is different and it seems that some are easier to get on with than others.
LOL, Gail!!! That's how I feel when I get behind the wheel of the Prez' Dodge diesel...:)JP
It feels the same way when you get on someone else's bike. The seat's too high or too low and the pedals feel funny. The brakes never work right and you feel like you're going to have an accident.
Hahaha...Oh I know this! I have been driving a farm truck all week because I still cannot get the mouse out of my own car. Takes some getting used to!!!
I feel JUST like this when I drive my husband's truck! ARGGH!!!!
I had to drive the Pickup one day this week..same thing my car is easier on the gas and Far Guy had to go further than me. I like my routine..and his speedometer sometimes works..and sometimes not:(
LOL! Nothing I hate more than riding in hubby's mini van. Drives me crazy, even if there is a CD player. I just love my old truck. Think I'll keep it forever!!
Funny, but I can really see you driving a PT cruiser.
The truck? Not so much, I guess!
;)
Hehe, that's quite understandable. It gets more difficult to drive another vehicle when one becomes used to the feel of their car. It's kind of tricky when there's no other choice but to drive a different car, or when it's time to buy a new one.

It's kind of like switching from manual to automatic (or the other way around). Driving a car that's different from the one you usually drive can be pretty annoying at times. Even with good driving skills, a new vehicle can be surprisingly hard to control when you have the groove of your usual car memorized in your head.
