The Hands That Rock Our World...

A picture taken by accident is my inspiration.  This is my oldest sister's hand, while working in the garden.  First a child, then a teacher and now retired.  She is our teacher, our matriarch and our treasure.  Marcy's hands hold the camera.
It is these hands that preserve our food,
and shell the peas.
These hands spoil my grandchildren,
encourage them to explore,
and make them smile.
These hands hold a dragonfly
until its wings dry from the rain.

They nurture us,
and every creature here...
Marcy's hands.

Love the hand reflection. . . .

Somewhere in my "stuff" from my working days I have a piece, (reflection) on HANDS. I will see if I can dig it up, (find it,) make a copy and send your way.

Please don't hold your breath. At this point I am not sure where to start looking.

Women are so under appreciated in this (still) male dominated world. Women hold it all together.

It is always a delight to meet someone so comfortable with being alive and melding into the whole world whether of her own kind or every other living creature. When I was small I had an aunt too like this. Great post.
