a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

My Charme, My Doll

arrives for a breakfast of fresh corn husks.
Charme is the horse the grandchildren ride.
She will not move a step until they are perfectly balanced.
Why do I not saddle this wonderfully gentle Haflinger
and ride to my heart's content?
Some day...

Maybe Charme will let me ride her when I come to visit since she is gentle?

She is very pretty. You will. I find though as I get older I just like to pet them and brush them.

What a "Charme". You will know when it's time to saddle-up.

It looks the sort of pony that you can trust with a precious life.

I'm not going to tell you to go ahead and ride that horse. You're stubborn enough to do it when you're ready.

Charme is so beautiful. I am tempted to wrap my arms around her and just hug her. :)

Perhaps you can have someone lead you around while you sit on her back, and just enjoy what the grandkids enjoy?
