Shelling Peas With Aunt Marcy...

can be lots of fun.
It takes lots of concentration,
can be a group activity,
or be done alone,
with lots of breaks.

Great shots! Were the boys really, really helpful... or only for a bit? My boys didn't particularly care for chores such as this!

Plenty of breaks. What a great way for the boys to be growing up, participating the way they do.

Cute! And if I were helping, I'd put one in the bowl, one in my mouth! I LOVE fresh peas!

I hope they really did help a little bit and that it wasn't just a passing fancy. It's better than watching TV.

At least it is a skill they will have when they get older .

It looks like a very nice time.
I would like to shell peas.
I have always loved doing that too.

That is so awesome! I still remember shelling peas at my grandparent's house, picked right out of their garden. I used to sneak down in between shelling to pick the raspberries off the vine, too. hehe!

Good memories. :)

I remember many an hour shelling peas and snapping beans with my great-great and great-grandmothers. I loved it. We'd snap or shell, and they'd tell me stories while we worked.

Glad the boys are getting to make the same sort of special memories.
