a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Thursday's Things In A Row

Chestnuts and burs in the grass,
rows or bunches, you may ask.
Gossamer strains from a spider's rear
make beautiful rows throughout the year.
Flower buds trying to beat the frost,
gonna bloom, no matter the cost.
Tracks on tracks make it very clear,
first the tractor, then the deer.

My rows are finished, I am done.
Stop by Pat's and join the fun.

Oh I love your things in a row. You are lucky to have chestnuts we do not have any of them for some reason. My Mom talks about them all the time when she was a kid they were everywhere I really would like to see one. They are rare in Ontario I have heard I forget why a blight or something. Love the spider web. Hope things went well at the doctor:)B

Great "things in a row", Gail! I did not know chestnuts arrived on the ground with several nestled together in a furry pod! Is that real?

There are chestnuts on a tree down the block. They are getting ready to drop. I'll think of you when I collect them :o)
