a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

The Shop...

yet to be named, is open as a yard sale for now.  Miscellaneous stuff from over five generations and six-plus families is here.

This is my nephew's building on our property.  He has plans but right now, he is working in Alaska and we have creative rein. I think it will become a flea-market with rented spaces and Toni will have wholesale groceries in the other side, maybe, who knows for sure, except now we have a chance to thin things we no longer are in love with.
We have opened two Saturdays and one Friday, so far.
Even without advertising, the business has been brisk.
Much furniture was sold this Saturday.
As word spreads,
I am confident many things will find new homes.
As soon as something is sold,
we place something else.
The inventory is vast and ever changing.
Marcy even dresses up her baskets with goodies.

Every Friday and Saturday, we plan to be there.
When we advertise,
we hope we are blessed with many people,
seeking treasure.

I wish I were close by so I could visit your shop! And I think "The Shop" would be a perfect name. :) Wholesale groceries? To regular people? What a blessing that would be! blessings, marlene

Flea markets are becoming some of the busiest places, especially in this economy. That could be a great idea as long as you don't get a lot of 'business' types instead of people selling good used stuff like you.

Glad to hear it's been so successful!

I'm glad your shop is such a success. Of course, it does mean extra work for you. I guess you have to be willing to put in the time. It's better than standing there without any customers, right?

How did I miss this post about your store? I have been busy painting the bathroom so I guess I missed some things online. I am glad I went back and checked. Your store is amazing. How far away are you from mid Nebraska? Wow, you are all so creative and to have the use of the building cuts the overhead. I wish you much success. I just wish I could be a customer.
