a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

A Successful Day...

It was shop day for me,
all alone.
Maria came later and we sold many things.
With Maria there, minding the store,
I could do more important things,
like chasing grasshoppers,
finding rocks,
flowers,
sticks,
ants,
and crickets.
I enjoyed the world through Zander's eyes...
and I was, amazingly, a child again.

It's good to be the grandmother of a little boy. You get to discover the world all over again. It's not that it takes all that much in your case. In many ways you are still a bit of a kid yourself. Which is very good. You can still be in awe of the world around you. I hope I'm the same way. I just need a little Zander.

We all need to take the time to look at the world through a child's eyes, it keeps us young.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

You know, he just looks like the perfect one to spend a day with. And then to collapse from exhaustion. LOL
