Saturday Centus Dog Days of Summer...Boris

The place to go to join the fun
Is Ms Jenny's  She's the one.
Word was out
Boris was a snitch
Been hanging with Kitty Klan
Letting ‘em scratch his itch.

A lesson must be taught
The Canine Corps agreed
The Code would be enforced
Boris must know his breed.

Boris had been loyal
Time-tested and true
Somewhere along the way
He traded his bark for “mew”.

After a secret meeting
The vote counted twice
The Corps decided
Boris must be “iced”.

Many volunteered
Alpha Male stood tall
“The pups must learn”
He sent them all.

The pups roved far
Following scent and Alpha’s advice
They found poor Boris
And “put him on ice".

*To "ice' someone is to kill them.  To be "put on ice" is to save it for later.  I believe this is slang from the forties.

Very nicely done! I loved it! I had the same kind of problem this morning when I posted and gave up as well. I just centered it and it looked fine.

I'd have never thought of ice in the criminal sense. This made me laugh! Thanks!

No lines here, looks great. Cute poem and I did have a giggle. Jack would love to be iced. In the middle of winter, she will go out into the very frigid weather and lay her belly down on top of ice or snow. She is like a winter dog, doesn't like the heat so much and spends a good part of summer swimming and wading and lying in water? First I thought she was Human, then I thought she was part Duck, then I figured out she was a Cairn Terrier and it was just normal :)

Creative, wonderful you rocked this difficult prompt!

I adore the direction you took this.

If this darned monsoon doesn't break soon I'm hoping someone puts me on ice!
