As the big flakes fell
Cardinals were out in force
sitting in the pruned fig tree
waiting to steal dog food.

Jill, our ground hog, says an early spring
and you know women are always right!
Morning update!
Jill may be hormonal.
This is a 9AM...another storm!
Wishing everyone a short winter.

I'd rather believe your groundhog.
Wonderful pictures. Cardinals look so cool in the snow.
I like Jill:) Beautiful photos Gail. Fire Phil:) Hug B
I do hope Jill is right! :)
Gosh, with another snowstorm coming here tonight and then again the weekend, our gal Chuckles hit the nail on the head!...:)JP
I can't be too soon for me. It's sleeting like crazy here. :( blessings, marlene
drat, i typed a long comment and it would NOT let me post it... by the time i got aggravated and started over i forgot what it was... hope your ground hog is right... we have no ground hogs here...
Go Jill! The winter birds are so pretty.
Always enjoy seeing Cardinals since we have none here. And up until last night, we had no snow to speak of. I love the phrase Jill might be hormonal.
good luck with the snows! still not a flake here this season. usually we get a few.
You are so funny, Poor Jill, I am sure she is tired of winter too.
It really looks pretty though.
Whew, that is a relief Jill. We will take your prediction over that stupid Phils.
Hope those beautiful cardinals managed to find some dog food.

I sure hope so, because I think we could all use a very early spring. Or, at least a lot less of winter! Phil is a funny one, and it does depend on where you are, so there are many of his cousins skirting about making up their own idea of when spring will come. So we'll never know until it hits. Soon, please!
I really enjoyed those photos of the birds! Thank you :)
Yeah well our Robins showed up the other day and now we are to be having a huge snow storm tonight through tomorrow . Mother nature is being cruel to us lol ! Lovely photos . Hope spring comes soon for all of us . Thanks for sharing . Have a good week !
Beautiful pictures of the snow, birds, and your property. I like Jill, lets use her instead of Phil from now on!!
I think my groundhog froze to death.
As for California, wish us a long one…and some rain! (As you know all to well, drought is no fun.)

Jill may have an inside scoop and decided to mess with you all.
Oh the pictures are beautiful! We need an early spring!!!
Great photos, Gail. :-)
The groundhog here drowned. And we got another 2 or 3 inches today...
Fun post . . . we'll see what happens, won't we!
I can only say that it doesn't look that way here and I am happy about that. So far we have been spared any form of winter. I guess you got it all. xox
