a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Thirst for Poetry Jam...

Every time I see a rock
I ask it to talk to me
I long to hear its story
To share how it came to be

I've a thirst for knowledge
Only rocks can supply
Marked by creation
Unable to lie
My Hubby woos me
With rocks large and small
I'm honestly honored
That he thinks of me at all.

Amazing rocks he brings you, Gail. I know what you mean when you say you wonder.

Have a great weekend. ♥

Wow, this last rock is really something else, I have never seen one like it! Last weekend, I went to the Rock and Mineral show with my girlfriend. We bought rocks and were happy!

Your poem made me think of Moses hitting the rock to get water. The second stanza is my favorite. It seems you have a cool collection of rocks, Gail.

I think there is a lot to be discovered in rocks...and I enjoy them too, thinking of all the history they contain. A thirst for knowledge in regard to anything helps us grow. Thanks for taking part in Poetry Jam!

If rocks could talk what tales they would tell. Your hubby sounds like a fine chap to me. Rocks and pebbles are great presents.
