Someone threw
This tub away
I became it's foster parent
Invited it to stay
First it watered horses
As they walked by
The horses left
The tub stayed high and dry
Sad to see the tub
Sitting all alone
Then came Bonnie
A water lover to the bone
The lilies weren't happy
Being chewed and torn
Because of busy Bonnie
A new idea was born
So this poor discarded tub
With no purpose at all
Became the lily reserve
And a unique water fall

A wonderful old tub story, with a happy ending!
Love the way your poem told such a fun story. Great way to use the old bath. Gahhh, she is getting so big! I had to laugh at the way she is sitting in the water looking at you as if to say 'what??'

Excellent, the regeneration of a simple tub, bringing life and newness. Great poem.
Beautiful poetry! The dog likes to rest in the water. It looks like a spa !
Have a great Sunday :)
you already know i love this story.. every time i see Bonnie in that pond i laugh... the pond looks amazing. you are so talented...writing and building with stones
Bonnie would no doubt at all feel right at home in my back yard - her and Jack would play all day in Jack's backyard pool, although its not as lovely as yours, with the waterfall n all - plus all the dragging of rocks and placing them just so-so. I would love to have a waterfall n tub like this - might even get in it myself. he,he Have a wonderful Sunday and hugz to Marcy, n Family lol
what a resourceful heart to make a waterfall out of a tub !! delightful Gail :)
Very clever use if the tub and a very nice poem too. The photos are wonderful.
I think Water Dog is appropriate . . .
that dog is kick. I love your building/writing skills. They both make me very happy. Thanks for a giggle. Linda
Love it! I sure wish I had your talent for poetry and re-purposing.
I like that poems and your pictures are just great.
Your garden is amazing, Gail. And Bonnie seems quite happy with the arrangement as well!
Have a blessed day, all. ♥
I like it- water dog.. who-ee Bonnie has won that name! She looks so content in her own personal swimming pool.

I like this. Both the story and the way you wrote it made me smile. I'm glad this tub had a happy ending and could be useful again!
