The Moon

The moon
Beckons
She calls me
To follow
Across
The moonlit night
She holds her lantern high
And cries follow
Beneath the moon lit sky

Nice! Just be sure to take a flashlight so you don't trip in the dark.

Nothing like a walk in the dark of night with Mother Moon to lead the way. Lovely

Lovely Ode to the Moon. I am such a scared cat that even if the moon was calling me I would be afraid to go. I am glad you aren't. :)

Such a nice little poem, Gail. :)
It reminds me of my before-bedtime trips to the outhouse growing up at farm before we got electricity. My little sister went with me as I didn't like the dark out in the grove (it was there but out behind the hen house too!).

This is the sort of moon that can inspire prose, poetry, or song. Your words complement it beautifully!
