I hope they are done with the roof top adventure by now and down safe until next time. I love pecans and miss having daddy's 3 trees. he had one with the large pecans and 2 with the small pecans.. I just came in from pick up five avocado that are the same size as the big pecan in your pic. jake is eating them and not supposed to, he finds them in the dark. I have to do avocado patrol
Two thoughts come to mind looking at the dog's expression, one, is it a ball and they'll throw it, and two, hey take a picture of this cute adorable dog face and not those green things! Really mom.
Certainly good that what should stay up is staying up! When we lived in SC our squirrels use to toss the walnuts onto the metal roof of the house to crack them. We could hear them land and roll all the way down the rest of the roof. They would also toss them at me when I went out to collect the laundry from the line. I used to "wear" the laundry basket over my head!!

It is good for pecans and walnuts, not for husbands and grandsons.
We have these walnut trees everywhere. They are so hard to get inside. We also have a lot of people around here who fall off roofs.
Good to know they are still going in pairs. Hope the roof work is done soon so you can exhale.
Working on the roofs of my buildings is one of my least favorite things in life. I dread it but I have to do it.
When we walk at the park in town, we see those pod looking things. Now I know what they are .
Falling is fine for Pecans and Black Walnuts but not for the other two!

We have green ones, too. Lots of bad ones falling. We've only managed about 5 gallons so far. It's still early in the season, but not promising.
Oh well. We will have some to eat, if we decide to keep them.

Yes, the only nutty ones we want falling to the ground are these kind, please!!
