Spider Time

Jumping spider...very small but quick
a grass spider
and last but not least...the tarantula.
I think he may have been injured.
I gave him a drink and helped him find shelter.

I don't think I've ever seen a tarantula in the wild. We do get wolf spiders and they're huge although not that big.

Yes, the tarantula surprised me as well. I didn't think they were in your area. You are so kind to take care of him/her!

Of course I could not look, for fear of nightmares. You gave a drink to a spider!!! You are a farm Mother Teresa!! You continue to amaze me.

Oh, he77, no. They are important, I know. I would rather they just quietly go about their business. Creepy. Great pictures, though.

Wow, you actually run a spider clinic for the wounded? Proud of you.
Those jumpers have the cutest faces and yes, they really are quick.

Not a fan of spiders at all, so can't see myself helping one out, Gail.

spiders are interesting creatures, when I find one inside I try to get it outside in one piece.

I am pretty fine with spiders, but I don't like the jumping variety.
Creeps me out.

I love spiders, especially tarantulas! Sadly, I have no such affections for snakes, they scare me. My niece and I debate this all the time, as she is afraid of the big spiders that hang on her front door in the Fall, and thinks snakes are quite cool. I offered to trade our Texas rattlers for her spiders but she has to come and collect them! :-)

Jumping spiders scare the heebie jeebies out of me.
I actually am not afraid of looking at a tarantula but I'm not sure I could pick one up but I"m glad you helped that one out.
