The food plots are growing.
The automatic feeders are full.
The hunting blinds are repaired and readied.
Tree stands are relocated.
Buck scrapes/rubs are found,
noted and remembered.
In hopes of "bagging" one of these
the ladies must lure them in.
All feeders are emptied prior to season and refilled after season
but the planted fields will feed the deer and other wildlife all winter.

good luck for venison!
Very busy over at your place!
Sex sells, even with deer.
I can't help but feel sorry for the poor stag.

You are serious hunters! Good luck. We have a young neighbor who hunts on us each year. So far, no luck at all.
I like the idea of them having the food plots year round.
looks like you are fully prepared for the season... I love the little tree the bucks rub on.. I wonder how it still stands
lot's of work to get ready!! i love bambi, i'm not sure i could hunt them!!!
We have a lot of deer around here too. Have had some close calls with them while driving, and actually hit one once. So do you lure them in with food? How long does the meat of one last?
Oh I loved seeing the deer. It always saddens me when people shot them but I do understand the need for eating the meat. I grew up with a dad & brothers who hunted but I could never ever shoot such a gorgeous creature myself.
Goodness, you guys are professionals. I am more content to think of them as lovely lawn browsers than food but respect your desire. Good luck filling the freezer.
My hubby is a hunter, anticipating November 1.
I agree. Good luck and God bless!
Have a fun bounty of hunting this year!
Our neighbor down the channel hunts. You can hear the shots every morning, as he goes after the ducks and geese. The shos used to scare our dog, Polly. In 17 years, she never got used to it. You are blessed to have these provisions.
My son does much the same! Getting ready to stock the freezer!
That buck looks like a keeper . . .
Go for it Den . . . (or Gail!)
We are ready for birding game and then deer hunting. Dick and I and friends will be busy next little while - all is ready here too. BOL with you and yours.
I love how you always provide for the animals, and they in turn will hopefully provide for you, that is the natural cycle of things, the way intended.
