We have a few roses that somehow have survived too. Your roses and the pear are pretty. A blog friend of mine in WA only had one pear all season and she made a salad with it on Friday. My grandma used to make pear preserves when I was a kid. My mama used to save the last couple of roses and dry them to keep thru the winter.
The calendula plants are all that survived the frost here a week or so ago. I was really hoping a frost would hold off until my luffa plants had a chance to produce something..no such luck!
Everything around here is brown and even the leaves have fallen and are gone! The yellow rose is so pretty! I love your blog header....great capture! =)
