a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

It Takes A Thief...

The old farm house where I grew up was broken into along with a trailer and the smokehouse at our top farm.

They broke the doors, dumped drawers and boxes to carry away the cream of the crop.  It happened, as far as we can tell, Tuesday night.

Just things were taken but they were our things.

I feel invaded, assaulted...disappointed, discouraged.

My trust is gone and I am mad...mad that they have stolen the last drop of Christmas Spirit from me.

Oh, no! I am so sorry this has happened to you. I totally unnerstan' how you feel, but please don't let this incident take away your Christmas Spirit. If you do that, then you are lettin' someone else win the battle between good an' evil.

You represent all that is good in this life; all that Christmas stands for. I am sending a whole truckload of Christmas Spirit so's you can replenish yours. There are a lot more good people one this earth than there are bad ones.

It's horrible that someone has invaded your world in such a way, but think of all that you still have. No, no! I don't mean it that way. I jus' mean that you have way more wunnerful about you an' I hope you can see your way back to lovin' Christmas.

For what it's worth, they WILL get theirs; I jus' wish they'd get it, now. I'm impatient an' do not appreciate those who prey on others.

Hugs an' hugs,

~ Yaya

Not your house, the one you live in? another farmhouse on your property? so sorry to hear that. Not trying to make excuses but maybe they thought it was just an old abandoned place no one cared about.

I'm sorry your stuff got stolen. I know exactly how you feel. Last year someone hopped over my fence in the middle of the night and stole one of my baby goats. :( It makes you not want to trust anyone ever again. It makes you wonder why you try to help people or do nice things. :( Hugs.

Gail, I agree with Yaya, don't let the enemy rob you of your Christmas spitit. Jesus loves us all, even those who do bad things. Yes, He's disappointed in them, but He still loves them.
My husband I and were robbed two weeks ago. Someone stole the copper cable on the barn, it was about 100' of copper. It was hard to do, but we prayed for the theif. He must have a horrible - miserable life to live like that. I'm thankful I'm not him. Forgiving the thief, frees me from harboring bitterness. Yes, it's okay to be hurt and angry, but God does not want you to stay there.
I'm praying you have many blessing this Christmas!
Hugs!

Oh I am so very sorry. I wish there was something I could do--If I only had a magic wand. Do the police have any leads at all? I'm just so sorry.

Gail! They can only steal as much Christmas spirit and as much of your heart and as much of yours as you let them! You have so much, think of those kidlets in your family and your wonderful sense of humor and let them have the "stuff". YOU still have all the best of this season! Thinkin about you :)

Oh Gail this is horrible! I understand the feeling and I hope that although they just took things, it wasn't family things of sentimental value. I'm just glad they didn't break in where you live and cause other harm. BASTARDS!

That's terrible, Gail. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I would be real mad if it happened to me, but don't let it spoil your Christmas. Keep that good cheer going, otherwise they will have stolen that from you as well. It's okay to feel violated and pissed off. Be mad as hell, that's better than feeling that your spirit has been robbed.

That is terrible, I hope they catch who ever did it.I know how you feel,I've been broken into before and it's a feeling of violation that you can't really explain. Don't let them steel your spirit along with the things they took. You're a fighter,I can tell, don't lose that spirit.Think of all the things you still have.
Merry Christmas

Oh Gail, I'm so sorry. I wish there was something I could do, I feel just awful.
Don't let these creeps steal your Christmas Spirit, think of all your friends and family that care about you, not just at the hoidays but year round too.
Take care.

Gail - I am so sorry to hear about your misfortune. Boy that makes me mad that people can do these kinds of things! It's true - it's just material things - AND you guys are okay - but it's sentimental things and I can certainly understand your feelings of violation!

Sorry to hear that. There's just no excuse for such an invasion. Some people just don't care about anyone, even themselves. No respect. I can see why it would dampen your holiday spirit.
