Well, That Didn't Work!

A fine success my giveaway was!!!  One new follower and thirteen entries... All names were cut into slips, folded and placed in a old straw hat.  My Random chooser, AKA Andrew, drew out one piece, without looking, without cheating in any way.

The winner is Sunny at Barnyards and Barnacles  She has a fun blog full of bits of history, humorous captions and fantastic photos.  Congratulations, Sunny, email me with your address.

Just a tad on the unemployed hubby...he is still working on fence and is closer to done than he was.  He told me he fell yesterday, stepped on a round stick and, Flop! flat on his back he went. Well, I think he hit his head!

This morning I walked through dressed for work and he said I looked nice, then he complimented my smell.  What is going on here??  He is missing his political, social life when he starts bragging on me.  I guess when you are isolated in the desert, any drink of water looks good...

I don't agree with the desert comment. When you are unemployed it is more that you learn to REALLY appreciate those still around you. I KNOW :)

Sorry I missed your give away, I'm just so darn busy. :(

Your husband has time to smell the roses and you are a rose that smells good. It seems you look good as well. How is that for a bit of appreciation? Accept it with both hands and say: thank you, darling.

Being unemployed is hell..but at least he has stuff to keep him busy.
Really interesting as I just now came on and read this...especially since I wrote you the letter I did.
Yep..the man is appreciating you. Appreciate him back! :)

Love the post, but he may just be realizing now how much you do and appreciates you more now, besides take all the compliments you can get. Have a great weekend.

Very funny about your husband. I agree that work fogs our mind and when we are clear of it, the fog clears and we can see things better.

I guess I missed your give away? I've been laying low, just trying to get there and wondering where-there is. Sorry I missed it though.

Maybe the man has just been so dang busy he hasn't paused long enough to stop and appreciate what a wonderful, good lookin', fantastic smellin' woman he has! It's always great when they do stop and take notice.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sunny and her wonderful win. Woohoo!!!

God bless ya girl, I'm gettin' ready to hunker down this afternoon. The arctic front must be upon us. Suddenly the fog has set in.

Have a great day!!! :o)

Whoops! Sorry I missed the contest. I've been so stinkin' busy this week. Hardly any time for 'puter.
I'm glad to read that the hubs is appreciating you. It's nice when the men folk remember why they married you sometimes :)
Sorry to read he's unemployed, though. I suppose at least he has more time now to work around the farm...and compliment you. hehe!

When Sweet Man was unemployed for 15 months he began to dig a hole in our backyard. Now I am not talking about a hole for planting but a 15' diameter hole. I honestly was afraid to ask why. He was silent and moody and I wasn't sure he wasn't digging a hole to jump into. But as time went by he became, as some of the other commentors have said "clearer less foggy" and was much more in the moment with everyone. He was funny and interested in what others were doing. Joined the human race again. Oh, and the whole was for a swimming pool. Who knew, right? The Olde Bagg, Linda

You know, I considered doing a giveaway now and then decided to let it go until after the holidays. Everyone is so busy and it seems to be a bit hit and miss on getting to the blogging thing. Sorry.
