a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

The Sky Had Promise...

as I drove to work.
The clouds kept changing on my short drive.
There were rumors of rain.
At work, my dream came true.
The rains came and washed the dust away.
It was slow.
It was beautiful.
The plants seem to hold themselves at attention,
since the rain.
It rained slowly, gently, all day.
The beauty of the afternoon called me to walk.
I viewed the garden from afar,
and from up close.
I played in the mud where we find arrowheads.
When I saw the sky on the walk back,
I knew I had to share.
Back to the spot where I began,
refreshed,
and renewed.
The fog began to rise in the valley.
Precious rain and a wonderful walk...
life doesn't get much better than that!

Glad you got some rain, we got ours last night and might get some more tomorrow. We'll take all we can get right now with all the leaves falling.
Blessings to you

Thanks for taking us on the walk with you. I could almost feel the mud and feel the air. Keep your camera with you because you have a wonderful way of capturing your surroundings and sharing in your blog.

The rain can certainly be appreciated and needed.
We had such a glorious weekend that it is hard to complain about the endless rain we've had - but then we haven't been blessed with your lovely skies!

It's nice that you can still be happy about the rain and appreciate it unlike us. We've had more than enough. XOX
