Lost My Dashboard...

and my edit posts...I'm lost.  I can't even find the people I follow to read.  Yep, I need a few days away from the computer before I throw it.

Gail...this new system is awful! But, I found my list of blogs that I follow by going to the top left on the page where the orange "B" is next to the word blogger. Click on it, scroll down and you should be able to see all the blogs you follow that were listed under dashboard. Let me know if it works.

Im sorry to hear this. Blogger keeps buggering around and screwing things up for all of us . I do not like the new dash board nore do I like that I cant publish comments right from my e-mail any more ! Wish they would just leave well enough alone ! Hope it all comes back !

Hi Gail - I changed over to the new blogger and it really messed all my stuff up - I lost my posts, lost my followers and then just lost a good part of my blog. Things would not open and you really never knew where you were - so I SWITCHED BACK and got everything back eventually. I am a gal that does not mind change, and a bit of a technical geek, but gimme a break and actually make it worthwhile and have it working properly.
Before you toss your computer, remember, its not your computer, its the program :) I do not want a very dull white page with black n white to come up when I open my blog, I want to see my blog and then go about my business. Yeah offer us some new templates, but do not mess up the program if it ain't broken?

I thought your post would be about your car. Ha.

I hope you find it soon.

Like others have mentioned, I find it irritating that in the guise of progress companies make changes that really don't work out that well.
Good luck. I hope Lori's suggestion works for you.

I see someone told you about the B at the top of your page.
I know how you feel though. I did think of just quitting the whole blogging thing and then I thought of how sad I would be to not stay caught up with everyone.
I do get tired of the changes too.
Sometimes it is nice to have a break.

sometimes logging out and then logging back in helps. or sometimes a couple of hours later it all reappears. I've not seen any new changes but then I've been on the new format for months. still though, it didn't cause me any problems.

I understand your pain. My blog has also messed up. I'll get used to it. It will take time. That has to be OK. Working with Yndi has been like that. I decided that, even though she is 16 years old, I should treat her like a green three year old. It is working better. It's OK because it has to be.

you're probably sitting inside a new post. click the 'close' option and it'll take you to your post list as well as allow access to the other dashboard items.

Booger~bite...this is not the first time your dashboard had disappeared is it???

I'm so sorry...I hope ya find a fix soon.

Seems to me blogger would test things more thoroughly before they mix things up for us. 'Just sayin'!

God bless and have a wonderful day...please don't throw your computer!!!! :o)

Without knowing what you're looking at, it's hard to say what's going on.
Other than it has happened to me.
Here is a link to the google dashboard:
http://www.blogger.com/home
It should work for anyone.
Are you talking about making a post or editing one? Either way, double click on the blank space between the words 'All blogs' and 'view in good reader'.
It opens a hidden menu.
(I hate blogger. This is the change I complained about I don't know how far back.)
The orange pencil is your 'new blog post'.
The page looking thing takes you to a list of all your posts, where you can view, edit or delete them.
The down arrow opens another menu of options.
If you need more help, just let me know!

i lost my dashboard too. found it by mucking around a bit. it is not necessary to keep changing things, so i do not know why they do it. when they "upgraded" before, i could just switch back to the old post editor. i don't think you can do that w/ the new program, so when you do find your dash board, expect a white- ugly - in your face kinda screen. boo.

I couldn't find my dashboard either! Then I did. Who knows if I will find it again?? I hate it when companies have to do "new looks", like Facebook and their stupid timeline. Seriously, don't those techies have anything better to do then stress out us non-techies who finally JUST LEARN to navigate something, then go and change it up again?? Geesh! ;-)

I agree, I don't like the new Blogger, either. I'm very technical, but I just don't have time to search around and figure out something new with Blogger. I think we all are busy people and these kinks in the road slow us down. I switched back to the old interface, but I hear that soon I will be forced to convert. I'm gonna keep fighting change!
