A Non-Traditional Easter

Not one egg was dyed,
but there were motorcycle/lawnmower races.
Not one egg was hidden
but there was much wrestling.
There was exploring with some running
from a wet dog shaking.
There was football,
basketball
and dog ball.
There was ant hunting
and dog games.
All the family gathered, sisters, daughters and mates
three grandsons in the mix made quite a day.
Marcy fed us a banquet and we all played.
We remembered the reason for the holiday
and we were thankful.

That's the main reason to get together as far as I'm concerned. It's to enjoy each other's company. Everybody should have a good time, not just the kids. So did you enjoy yourself?

It sounds perfectly wonderful to me. We did similar things all weekend and we did not dye eggs either. Instead, we made Scalloped Corn and Omelets with the eggs.

There were no chocolate bunnies or easter eggs here. Just a nice picnic by the Bay, with loved ones. Pretty perfect to me. Love the photos.
