a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Insanity

Getting Real in an imaginary garden and trying to remember after a night at The Poets Pub...creative challenge.
They labeled me crazy
Put me away
They were serious
I only played

In the ink spots I saw
Wonderful imagery
Of Oz and Disneyland
Christopher Robin's tree

The Wicked Witch is dead
Get outta my head I screamed
Can't you see Toto?
I know life is but a dream

Try to remember
That's what they said
Try to remember
Spill what's in your head

What was in my memory
Did not suit their plan
So Toto and I just sit
Holding (Winnie the) Pooh's hand

Yeowch! This has a disjointed sharp feel that goes terrifically well with its subject matter. Thanks so much for participating. K.

Very clever.
And you can hold Pooh's hand, just don't hold poo in your hand.

I LOVE that you created your own inkblot! Fun, huh? Your poem has just enough crazy to make it unnerving and just enough coherence to let me follow it. Great job with the challenge!

playing in the ink spots has something so charming - ugh - but so tough if your friends or fam don't understand you...

"They were serious , I only played". I love that. Sometimes the one designated by this or that label is the sanest one........at the very least, the most honest. That's how it is in my family!

Delightful Gail!
I am more and more fascinated by the poets' interpretations of Dr. Mouse's inkblots.

OK, now I know you're gonna laugh when I say this, but when I first saw the photo/painting, I thought Gail's gone and got herself a fancy pair of underwear and a sweater with cuffs that match????? Then the cat was fine with stones n footsteps around it? My mind, oh where have you gone :)
Hi to TM, Marcy, Andrew, Zander n all, special hugz to Marcy :)

Ink spots, fairy tales and Disney, I do not think you left out a thing. Person to person perceptions never cease to puzzle me.
