a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Opposites...

Some would think
I'm the strong one
You forever
Hold me up
In your arms
In your heart

I am the weak one
Encouraged
Supported
By your strength
I topple
You catch me

Opposites are day and night
They make a fine pair
And so do we
Apart
We are haunted
And hungry

For the next time...

I love this Gail, I can relate to it well. Without them, where would we be? Lost, I am sure.

It aches to read this. It is how I feel, and how lost we each would be when the other passes on. Lovely, Gail.

Thanks - your thoughts caused me to stop and contemplate my own life and see the truths in what you say.

Excellent . . . in style and partnering . . .

The last six words capture everything the poem is about - we encourage and support each other together - what more could one want and what a world it would be if it were widespread. Love this.
