If I Could Build A Fantasy...

Today we are invited by Real Toads to write a mini-fantasy.  They mentioned three brilliant authors I admire and could only dream to be one-tenth as good as they.

"I'm not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours.”
― Lewis CarrollAlice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

If I could build a fantasy
There would be no wars
Every one would have all they need
And no one would be poor

If I could build a fantasy
All plants and animals would talk
There would always be conversation
No matter where you walked

If I could build a fantasy
Magic would be pure
And the country would have new leaders
Our vote would count for sure.

If I could build a fantasy
The mythical would exist
A unicorn could be sited
In the morning's mist.

If I could build a fantasy...
A Rottweiler could drive.

There would be fairy and good elves in my garden. Unicorns, too. There would be nice weather all year round, no weeds.

Loved the "If I had a Fantasy . . ." Prompt . . . I like the animals being able to talk . . . If I had a fantasy everyone would be kind and greed wouldn't exist.

I like that you covered many things in fantasy land. But as for #2, just quiet your mind and listen intently - they really do talk : )

ha. i would totally dig getting to talk to trees...and i imagine they could tell us quite a bit in their observations...maybe even to find the heart it would take to meet the first part of your fantasy....

My Jack has more common sense and loving than any leader of any country anywhere. There are some pretty wonderful Bloggers out there that could run the offices of the country much better that the fellows that hide when something goes wrong, create a disturbance elsewhere and then slowly resurface because the disturbance created has kept the hounds of justice from their hiding place. I'l like to build a fantasy like yours too and rebuild the world away from greed and corruption. I'd like to have that Rottweiler driving my car too. Mary said to thank you for photos of Lizzy.....and then said; there was a time, a long, long time ago when it was a different world - no one in their village ever went hungry and everyone worked and a man could bring home enough salary at a steady job to bring up his family and help others out. Mary also said "Tell that girl to run for President" - we had a good day :)lol TM, M, A n Z

I'd ride along with the Rottweiler and converse upon the fine state of affairs of the world, if you could have your wish. Oma Linda

Lovely! And then, that delightful humor of yours at the end. You never fail to provide a smile, at the very least.

That would be a nice world to live in. I like the ending.

Your last line cracked me up. Your poem makes me wonder why, so many of the good things we crave in life have entered the realm of fantasy - I don't mean the unicorn itself, but what it represents in terms of innocence and purity.
