Two Shoes Tuesday...Late

Two Shoes in Texas have a few writing prompts weekly.  Today, a day late, I choose Two Shoes Tuesday.
With this prompt she provides two words to hopefully head us in a creative direction.

Memories

Rise and shine!  Daylight's awastin'  Biscuits on the stove and chores to do.

The smell of bacon and coffee drift in the air pulling me out of bed to begin a farmer's day.

Now only memories remain.

My childhood and my parents are gone...but the memories return with the smell of bacon.

Lovely photo ! Yup that's what it was like for me as a youngster on the farm waking up to mum cooking an early breakfast , the smell of a yummy bacon breakfast then going out to do chores with my dad ! I miss all that . Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !

How well I could relate to these memories Gail, and how much I wish I could wake up one morning as a child again, perched at my mom' breakfast table. This being an "orphan" stuff is for the birds. I miss them and savor those sweet memories every day. Too much looking back at this age, but I am grateful for all the good memories I have!

Speaking of birds... beautiful photo! Love the bright cardinals against the winter background!

We have a lot of those around here. Those and the red-wing blackbirds I could do without. ;-)

Have a wonderful day, Gail!

Oh, the smell of bacon. Memories of my folks. Nothing so reawakening as the smell.
