A tree bent by nature will now grow this way.
Bending but not breaking as many of us have experienced in life.
Look at those colors!
Orange, green, white, gray and brown...
They all seem to be coexisting without problems.
Signs of the Templar Knights?
An ancient language?
Proof of early settlement?
Simply a rock marked by life
yet it remains solid.
Is this a trail tree or merely a tree handicapped in its youth?
It continues to grow even with many difficulties.
Freaky nature or life lessons?

Good question indeed.
We can always learn so much from nature, but how often we choose to ignore it always amazes me.
I liked the different colours shown in your second photo and many thanks for giving the link to learn and read more about trail trees.
Have a lovely Monday
All the best Jan
Hello, I enjoyed your nature images. We are like the trees bending but not breaking. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
Great observations! And wonderful post. Lots of food for thought here. Nature can teach us many lessons if we slow down and pay attention.
Nature always finds a way. Good lesson for us.
That last tree would make a good place to stop and sit.
I choose to think that is a trail tree. Nature is so awesome all by itself.
I love the way you contemplate nature and pass the encounters on to us. I sometimes forget to stop and ponder. This was a very enriching set of questions. xoxo Linda
What a wonderful array of photos. The wonders of nature never cease to be amazing. Is this all on your property? If so, it appears you are not the first inhabitants. Don't you wish the trees could talk? The lessons we could learn would be amazing.
You are so right. Nature can teach us all. It is always a wow factor when I see a tree growing out of a rock or like the ones you have that have made a bad start work.
It is both, I believe. Nature is filled with everything of and under the rainbow. We are supposed to learn from all of it.
lovely oddities.
Nature is one of God's gifts to us.
Great post!
My blood pressure has been up this week...I don't know if I am going to be able to continue listening and watching. As much as I prefer head in the sand..it's time to pay attention.
many of the goodly lessons I have learned have been learned as the result of my freaky nature.
I love life stories in nature. My favorite kind. Only you must have eyes to see. I am so glad you look. :)
Such an interesting perspective, against all odds!!
The abstracts of nature remind me that symmetry is our own fantasy.
Great photos and a thoughtful post, Gail. God bless. ♥
Trees teach us so many things, worth knowing and following sometimes!
Both I think, Freaky Nature . . . Life Lessons for sure!
