Perchance To Dream

Jacek Yerka, 2011

There was a young lady who dreamed in chapters
Who loved her life but feared the after
She dreamed she was awake
But dreaming sealed her fate
And she was lost forever in the subchapters

Thanks for the fun prompts, Tess from Magpie Tales.

this one made me laugh. i think i have been lost in the sub chapters my whole life. that is one odd prompt. trying to decide what the weird ornaments are and who lives in the night stand, the girl or the cat. looks like the cat is waiting for her to wake up... someone has a vivid imagination.

As much as I love to read, there's a sadness in this. Being so afraid to get past the current chapter of our lives that we dwell in the minutiae, as if that could keep the page from turning.

Ha . I guess if your life is in chapters one way to extend it is to go into subchapters

When one has a good dream one perhaps wants it to linger on. Very true Gail!
