a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Been Sick, Didn't Die

I coughed my soul out
cleaned it
and swallowed it again

More than a sickness
like a cleansing
or an exorcism

All not good was forced out
with such magnitude
i could barely breath

Days passed
battle worn and weary
I slept

Winning one battle
of life
but not the war

I know, I'm a drama queen!  I'm back!

Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes while I was "under the weather".

Gail, got another lovely rain during the night, so still no big storms. Hope you are on the mend!

So glad you are back to it my dear. Sorry that you suffered through with a case of the "lurgy" as my Daddy Jack called it. Be well and take care of you. xoxo Linda

I feel your pain, having had asthma for years, I agree there is nothing worse than not being able to breathe.
Glad you're better and didn't die ;)

ps, I think you would enjoy the Gelatos. Use them on watercolour paper and wet your finger to smear them on the paper. You can also stamp with them, stencil them on or put a stencil over them and wipe them off through the stencil with a baby wipe - that is a great effect. You can also use them like watercolour paints.

Good to know you're on the mend...you'll be fighting fit again before you know it and all around you will be running for the hills! Get stuck into all the fresh fruit and vegetables you can lay your hands on and mouth around! Take care. :)

Glad you survived! Let's hope this is the cold for the season; I haven't had one in years....shouldn't even think that. I may have cursed myself.
