Getting ready for some winter snuggling in??

The wind piles leaves next to our front porch. The Mighty Dachshund likes it when I sit on the edge of the porch and she can curl up in the leaves at my feet. Come to think of it, I did similar things when I was a kid. lol

Squirrels make nests? I had no idea.

Dogs do love the leaf piles, and have so much fun romping in them...looks like they enjoy sleeping in them as well.

If I could show you our bed right now, it's a "human nest". ;-)

I guess they need a nest to rest...there is squirrel in a tree nearby that made a nest inside the tree I see him pop in out gathering food for the winter.

It is important for us all to have nests ... except we call them beds!

I knew squirrels made nests; but I would have thought the ones in the branches were birds. Now you've got me wondering how many of the nests in our trees are from squirrels. :)
Hope you are all keeping warm! ♥

It is time to nest, pulling in for the long, harsh Winter ahead. We just had 13" of snow. I shudder to think...
