a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Decimated

annihilated, stripped, destroyed...and the words go on.
My beautiful Cone Flowers were consumed
during the days of rain.
They even ate the petals on the flowers!
Yes, Alex, I know what kind of caterpillars these are...squished.

I watched ours eat and I could see the chomping going on and the leaves disappearing. but they were eating the passion vine so I let them... actually could you beam me a few of these? our yard is full of weeds and vines that need to be chomped... Voracious is another word for squished. LOL

Good morning,

Oh no, your poor coneflowers! Bad caterpillars!

Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Oh no, that's such a shame!
It reminds me of when I got a tomato plant, put it outside and in the morning it had vanished, there wasn't even the stalk left!
It was snails in my case.

Lots of rain here in Texas, but so far no bugs or worms.

Oh no. Surely there is something that eats caterpillars. Maybe some resident guinea hens?

Good grief! They work fast! Looking at the flowers, it looks like deer ate them. Can you find a good repellent for these, without harming the environment?

Terrible things. They did that to my crab-apple tree.

We have some caterpillars here that are all black with 'spines' like yours. I think they are mostly in the oak trees. If they fall on you they sting like the dickens!
Sorry about your cone flowers.

*hugs* ♥

Jeepers! My husband's pepper plants were attacked by one big grasshopper...he gnawed the heck out of the branches and leaves.
