The Majestic Mississippi River

Tug boats pushing barges
Andrew, Toni and Bev

A twenty-eight barge being pushed along by one tug boat

Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink.

Gail,
So glad to see you are having a fun trip..we've been on the road since last Thursday..and I know I haven't made it to everyone's blog as much as I wanted to!! Love your polar bear pictures and of course that eagle! wow!..guess we are going to have to rely on these kinds of pics more and more if things don't get better for these poor bears!! Where were you when you saw the Oriental sculpture? Neat! Love your etched quote!! Hope you are having good weather..I am looking at snow right now! :(

I'm glad you didn't drink THAT water. The Miss is a beautiful river though-as long as she stays inside her banks. It looks like you're having a great time!

Hello Gail,

I am enjoying your vacation. I like looking at your pictures, as much as if I had been right there with you. I just caught up on all I missed over the week-end. I love the one of the giraffe snuggling up with the lady leaning on the fence post. What a surprise that must have been for her! ;) Great shot!

When I was a kid in school in the Netherlands, we thought Mississippi was a very hard name to spell.

All wonderful photos. I love the architecture of bridges too. Are you still on vacation or home?

Can't even imagine the unmentionables floating in that water.
What fun to see all those unique river views. I like that bridge.
