Toni, Andrew and I took off to the flat land about two hours away to spend a day not working.
We investigated some history.
Visited the museum at ASU campus
Saw the Arkansas Mastodon
Ate out at Fat City, absolutely delicious food and interesting art.
Found the ladies' room
We saw some flat farm land with growing rice,
irrigation systems
irrigation systems
and farmers working the dry fields
and fields ready to plant.
a train
Storage silos
And we even hit a few stores, Target, Pier One, and Big Lots.

How fun...I want a play day! =)
If you ever go for a play day in the vicinity of Stamps,AR, let me know, There might be some pictures you could take for me. (You're not afraid of cemetarys are you?) (I know it's a long way so I won't hold my breath)
Wonderful photos, Gail! Looks like a fun day. The rice field is interesting.....we never see anything like that here.
That was awesome Gail, what fun. I did not know we could grow rice. I thought it was all imported. Have a wonderful week end And Happy 4th.
Now rice, I know for a fact that's something we don't grow over here, but I thought it needed very soggy soil and I see very dry land and irrigation systems. So, what's up?
What fun! All work and no play make Gail a very ---- gal (fill in the blank). I noticed you went to the post office:) Every time we go some where with my postal worker friends, they first locate the nearest post office. I guess once in the blood, always in the blood:)
