a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Too Much!!!!

I am going to make up for the wordless post earlier.

I know the full moon is waning but I think all the crazies were out today and they were in my office.  It was insane, I did not have time to pee!!!  I can't talk about it, they might fire me!  Why in the hell did I postpone retirement????  The floors are filthy because I don't have time to clean with all the computer work and everything else beside the customers.

The fridge went out, we have two so that's okay, but now I have a fridge full of spoiled food I have to throw out, then I have to move one fridge out and  the other in and I don't have a dolly.

No one wants this blooming dog!  That was another bust.  Yes, Gail, you can save all the stray dogs there are.  Today I say if they aren't adopted with in the month, shoot them all.  If they bark, shoot them.  If they eat, shoot them.  Foster dogs, just one more gol darned splendid idea from Gail.

The cows keep getting out after the flood.  We keep fixing and they keep finding the holes. Den says he is going to sell, I certainly hope so because I am sick of fences and cattle.

Then he said we have to feed your horses, well, I always do.  Shall I sell them too?? I never have time to ride them so might as well sell 'em.

After my lovely day, I come home to fitting a beef in the freezer, hubby dumped it, so I had to take it all out and stack it like firewood and fit it together with great precision like a jigsaw puzzle.  Finally got that in place and the door to shut.

Thank God for that and for the meat.  I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but dag nabbit, I am tired!  This is a wonderful beef for those who like good marbled meat.  It is always tender.  Soup Bone dressed out at 69% beating T Bone from last year at 63%.  This is percentage of meat to live weight.

We are driving on half a road, my hubby works for the county but you think our road gets fixed??  Every body's gets fixed before ours, then when hubby gets it back in shape with his own tractor, they come along and stop up the ditches again.

One thing I can not gripe about is the weather.  We have had three stunningly perfect fall days in a row, no rain.

There it is all out...pray for me!

I've had those days too. Just hang on grit your teeth, and pray baby pray that you wake up tomorrow and things are better.
You might be surprised on the dog part. A guy I work with who I think emailed with you last night sounds prety interested.

It must be the remnants of the moon, in combination with the time change. Or, it's a conspiracy. I won't talk about it, but for once in my life, working the full moon wasn't too shabby. Now I gotta shush or I'll pay for that.

Take a deep breath, and don't give up on Gypsy. She is with you for a reason that just isn't clear. Yet.

Oh my goodness, you are on what I call "full animal overload." My girlfriend is going through the same thing. The farm is practically falling down by her ears and she is exhausted. She rescues dogs too. And is supporting a boarder's two horses who hasn't paid her in almost a year--basically abandoned the horses, both which have major issues. We've all gone through screaming that we should just sell the animals! So you're not alone. Just keep in mind that these things come in cycles and before you know it, you will be looking back on this and saying, whew, how could I even THINK of selling those horses?

um...i had good news today. :)

Sorry about the an-i-mules ... they are sounding like a pain in the patoot. But this too shall pass.

And no one at the PO is looking at the floor, believe me. :) And if anyone says anything just reply "Well I can mop the floor or mail your package, which do you choose?" hee. Get' em Gail.

Take care and get a good nights sleep, 'kay? Hugs

You poor thing! Sorry you had such a bad day! It must be the full moon or something. Was it last night or is it tonight? I was a little crabby today, too. But - just feeling "close" in the trailer. No room for anything. I get this way every few months. Then it passes.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow!

"The sun'll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow...come what may....."

We all have sucky, overwhelming, kick-yourself-in-the-pants sort of days, my dear friend. A good night's rest and some peace and quiet to rejuvenate the spirit is all that you need.

Tomorrow is a new day and everything will be much better. Just you wait and see.

(And it better be, because you really don't want to listen to me sing again)

You are having a bad time! Whan we were farming and it rained and rained and the stock ran amok we were in the same boat with the threat of selling up. Things will start to look up shortly---they'd better...things can't get much worse.........never mind the damned floor..one cleaning and it will be sparkling again!

Just don't hold back, let it all out.
As our weather has shown us when it rains it pours. It seems as if life is drenching you big time. I smile because in the turmoils of all of it your found something to be thankful for. Good beef to grill basking in the wonderful sunshine.

Have a sunny day Gail, it only gets better. :o)

I'm sorry, Gail. You sound like you've had it. It must have been an especially bad day. Sometimes life sucks. Simplify your life as much as possible. If it is possible. I'll be thinking of you!
