a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

The Work Continues...

When I should be hearing the birds singing
and the chickens going to roost,
I am hearing backup alarms
and noisy equipment.
The double poles will be replaced with the single taller poles
They have pullies which the electric wires are threaded though.
When ice builds up on the wire the spring on the pulley will stretch.
Hopefully, this will prevent the outages we have during severe weather.
Maybe one pole will be better than two but I sure hope they get them straight and they are through soon.
I am tired of the scenery!

You would think it would cost less to bury the dang things and be done with it. Then you wouldn't have those tornado proof and ice proof poles and lines. Ya...right, I'm from Missouri...Show-Me!!! We'll see.

Have a relaxing evening Gail!!!

We get the roads dug up here instead to put the cables, pipes ect in which is a real pain !

Annoying for now but they will leave eventually. It's only temporary.

Yep they are little ugly. Maybe wild vines with flowers will decorate them.

You need to line up the horses to block your view.

They put pulleys on our wires, too. We still have the poles that are buried tho. They are eyesores, but who wants to go without power? Wish they'd started off burying all cables... maybe someday. Pretty soon, you won't even notice them - probably!

It's not a sight for sore eyes, that's for sure.

What's that saying? "All for the way of progress?" Well, at least it should cut down on power outages!
