and fencing and hot weather and no rain and....So I am doing something different. Gonna share some changes inside my humble abode.
My new love seat my daughter, Melissa, gave me
Alignment troubles again!!! I do not want this centered, but the computer insists so who am I to argue?
A little peacock feather arrangement on the radio was fun to do. The curtains are shower curtains, believe it or not! Have you noticed lately what lovely cloth shower curtains they are making? At a much cheaper price than regular curtains, I decided to give it a try...not bad, in my opinion.
Added a little whimsy to the feathers.
A favorite table I've had for years
Some of you may recognize this picture of George At The Gate from my wonderful friend at Chronicles of a Country Girl . She is truly an amazing photographer and her words show as much talent as her photos. She, her husband and their Border Collie, George, live in a wonderfully beautiful old house full of history. I apologize for the glare on the glass but you can see this same pictue on her blog. I have not done it justice in this shot. It is now gracing my fireplace mantle along with my grandmother's oil lamp.
This is my private place to sit and relax, read a book, watch some tv or just zone out after a trying day.

Very very pretty. I like it all. I have a large radio too! And I love that table.
Good job.
I was going to comment on those drapes and then you described them, GREAT idea.
I hope you guys are getting some of the cool weather we are :)
Have a good Holiday.

Just lovely...I really like the antique feel...very relaxing...
Very nice I used to have the peacock feathers in a crystal vase with some real coral too, I lost it in the fire, but yours are gorgeous, lovely love seat too, hugs and thanks for sharing, Barbara
I have a very similar crocheted table covering.
Woohoo, what a great love seat and I'm quite smitten with that antique radio. Big old Kudos to daughter!
I would of never guessed 'shower curtains' aren't you the clever little decorator? My MIL has a table just like your favorite topped with a doily she crocheted.
Enjoy your beautiful spot and have a great weekend!!!
Thanks for the tip on the curtains. I need to remember that for the farmhouse. :)
Have a good weekend!
love your decor and i believe in using whatever can be used wherever no labels. shower curtains are just curtains....
It looks very cozy and inviting. Great curtain idea!

I could easily curl up on that couch and read a book. But soon you'd wonder what that horrendous noise was coming from that room and it would be snoring.
I LOVE that radio. Actually, I love the decor you have for that entire room. :)
I love the peacock feathers! And the sofa is lovely...fancy, too!
I would have never guessed the drapes were shower curtains! Very creative decorating. :)
