We experienced today what the loss of communications would feel like...now, add loss of phone lines and any other waves we use. Scary, isn't it?
I use Blogger almost as a place to store my writings and this has given me second thoughts. I shall have to learn how to place my words somewhere safer than riding on the Blogger train.
Any suggestions, except for, where the sun doesn't shine, would be welcomed.

I started writing my blogs in a word document and saving them on my computer. Then, I do a backup onto a flash drive once a week or so. I would like to get an external harddrive, but that isn't in the finances yet.
Well, I've been thinking about cut and paste to my hard drive, then copy to a dvd. This way, I wouldn't lose the comments.
That sounds like a good idea to me. I can't think of anything better.
Looks like we have all got a rude awakening about what might happen to all the memories we've stored on our blogs. I'm thinking of having mine out into a book, maybe doing 1 a year. I've done a little research and some other bloggers have done this for about $70 a year. I know I'm going to figure something out because I've put to much into this blog just to see it vanish.
Blogger did finally find my lost post and re-publish it for me.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
Blessings

Yeah, that was a bummer. I only post about once a week, but it was down when I had a new post ready to go- frustrating. Also, one of my posts went MIA, and despite what they say... it has yet to return. But at least it's up & running again! Well, in this technological world we live in, things are bound to go awry at some point!
I don't understand. I'm bad on the computer. Did the blogs go down and people lost writing? I write in my word program and then copy and paste it to my blog. I DO need to learn how to store everything on a back up disk though. I'm getting to it... I have a phobia with this electronic stuff.
Is it just me, or is there something kinda freaky about that cow?
