I sliced them thin with skins on. Browned and cooked them in a little olive oil and chives, adding Cavendar's seasoning, I cooked them tender then cooked them fast to brown and dashed some soy sauce on them.
The new way was a success with the men, hubby and Andrew. They wanted more!
Hubby begins to fix a new batch and asked how I made them, I told him, well actually I seasoned them and let him pretend to cook them. Andrew came through, hubby grabbed the spatcula, sprinkled some soy sauce and pretended he had done it all.
THEN, he put Andrew on the spot by asking, whose potatoes were better, mine or Nana's. Andrew chose Papa's, you know the men have to stick together. Hubby confessed. Andrew was surprised and a little embarrassed that he had chosen Papa's.
It is amazing how much fun a few potatoes can be!
...and we wait for more storms,
full of new potatoes,
and full of hope the storms are gentle.

Your potatoes sound great, Gail, makes me hungry! :)
Have a lot of praying to do today. Hope you're all well. Happy Tuesday!
I would have taken the potatoes off his hands too--LOVE potatoes even though I'm not eating them right now. I would love to try your recipe though.
I am hoping your storms are gentle too. I think people have had more than enough of the bad ones.
thanks for the chuckle.
Sounds like you all made the potatoes a lot of fun ... wonderful...
My husband loves new potatoes. I think I'll have to try a little soy sauce. That's a new one on me!
=)
PS. Funny about Andrew sticking with gramps.
A neighbor brought me some new poaotoes last week too. :) I cooked some with green beans but have a few left and I'm definitely going to fry them. I might wait until one night when DH is gone so I can have them all to myself...he doesn't like them nearly as much as I do! blessings, marlene
Sounds yummy! I will have to give that way a try.
Hope those storms are gentle ones!We had a good one move through on Sunday! Made me cringe every time the lightning would strike!
Scary storms!
Those new potatoes sound delicious. You've made me all hungry now. I can taste them all the way over here. I must have a batch of them. I think it's all in the seasoning and you are not here to do that for me. That's too bad.
I love new potatoes..sounds really good! Good to see your Hubby was up and around and brought you flowers! :)
I never heard of Cavender's seasoning, either. But that recipe sure sounds good!
