someone else posted they were having issues with ads popping up as they tried to prepare a post. someone said it was because they used internet explorer and suggested the blogger switch to google chrome which blocks the ads.
i've used chrome for over a year or more and don't experience a lot of the issues other bloggers report. just passing this along...
yep Gail, I too switched to Google Chrome when I had issues and have not had problems since. TexWisGirl, I agree. Just easy to download google chrome and away go the headaches.
I have friends who are computer techs and have had nothing but problems when switched to Chrome and that Chrome is not compatible with all computers set up and you have to re a just your computer to suit it ! They said that Chrome has filters as does every browser and they need to be adjust , the filters wont let you go on sites that you were able to before you switched to Chrome because the browser Chrome does not recognize the sites so there for red flags them and wont let you view or go on them ! Basically they still need to work the bugs out ! I use fire fox as my browser as has Papa who is a techy for over 10 years and never have had any problems . Good luck and hope all gets sorted . I guess it is just by luck with these new browsers .
Sorry to hear this, Gail. *hugs* Like many, I have used Chrome, and have had no problems. It's possible that some people do. I used to use firefox, and liked it a lot; but not since I started using Chrome. However, hubby - who is also a techie person - uses only Sea Monkey. That is what replaced Netscape(probably showing my age here). Firefox and Sea Monkey both use a base engine from Netscape. And I realize I'm rambling, haha. So, with you the best, Gail. *hugs* ♥
Chrome here... Hover your mouse over the ad or if you are getting the words that look like links that go to an ad if you click on them, and see where they go. I had that happen with adsense on my computer. Went to add and remove programs in cpanel and uninstalled adsense. They went away.
Many times it gets installed on your computer if you do something like a coupon printer.
There is nothing more frustrating for me than having technology stop being so dependable. The fact that things change so darn fast makes it even more difficult to deal with. Good luck.
went in to read your "fried" story, but it wouldn't open - still getting the "due to technical difficulty" page of Friday, Aug 9 ? Is anyone else able to read the latest post?

I agree. Google Chrome has resolved Google/Blogger issues here, too.
