Seed Ticks, Roller Coaster Ride and Places No Blog Has Gone Before

We are having visitors in September. I made the mistake of asking if there were places we could drive the Polaris so we would not have to walk so far.  Well, the butt showed me!!!!  My wonderfully fun Hubby took me for a ride.
Flying down a hill side with a big gravel wash
Flying up banks
Up and down the hills and terraces
driving through dry ponds
laughing maniacally
while saying my niece screamed louder than I did.
We went to an old home place
where the only mimosa tree grows on the farm.
While I took pictures in the "clearing"
I got covered in seed ticks.
So down the high line we flew
through the meadows to home.
I think if they had a measure
I would not have been tall enough for this ride.

in a life span, when does it happen that going for a ride to show someone something beautiful, green, exceptional . . . happens . . . in a slow, calm, manner? Do we each reach a slow pace or do some always have to be fly fast . . .

Seed ticks are plentiful around here . . .

I have no idea what a seed tick is but we have deer ticks here so am assuming "a tick is a tick, Eh" - what a wonderful "fly fast" adventure with TM. You should have popped out a video from the rear (of the vehicle that is). Hugz n hullo to family.

i can feel your fun and joy from the roller coaster ride and it brought back memories of the time my brother put me behind him on his quad, and took me on one of these rides, when we got to the top of the hill, i made him stop and i walked back down... talk about screaming, i was...
who is coming to visit and when? and what is a seed tick.

My dh drives like that. Sometimes I make him stop and I walk up or down whatever crazy hill or big ditch he is trying to climb. I'm a big chicken. Seed ticks- ARGHHH!

Sounds like the ride I went on with my step-son when he was 16.....I climbed up behind him on an ATV and he drove like a maniac. I held on for dear life and almost ripped his nipple right off of his chest. His Grandpa sure scolded him when he returned! No seed ticks involved though!

What exactly IS a seed tick?

I'm with the others on this. What is a seed tick and yes, I most definitely would have been too short for that ride....but how lovely everything looks...all green and wild. Not like the desert here. Oma Linda

I've never heard of a seed tick either, but the ride I would have enjoyed. Let the fun begin.

I am laughing so hard reading this! My husband loves such adventures and finds it very amusing if he drives our Ranger straight up the side of a sand dune while I scream at the top of my lungs. I was raised a flatlander, he loves the mountains... and the valleys below. I think I'll walk nicely along side please! :-))
