a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Ever Changing Water Garden

It began with this stone
which gave me an idea
then sweet Hubby brought me another.
I dug, planned and gathered rocks.
This is first stone at the bottom
second at top
and here comes the third and biggest
It makes a great place to sit
and will make a wonderful water fall
if I decide to expand.
Almost there..wild fern, reeds and moss are planted.
Fish were added
and the frogs are making themselves at home.
Still have some tweaking and improving.
I imagine it will always be a work in progress.

Sometimes works in progress are the very best kind because they keep evolving. I love it when it continues to be fresh and always has a new aspect to the work. Congrats....it's marvy. Oma Linda

Very cool. There is not much more soothing than the sound of water moving- I love waterfalls..big and small.

It's nice that you have tractor man to make (most of) your dreams come true. Al you have to do is point him in the right direction. Or is it not that simple?

I love your water garden and wish I had one like it. Great job, both of you!

I am impressed with the size of those rocks TM so carefully brought and placed with the mighty tractor. Wow, this is indeed "falling" into place Gail. It beginning to take awesome shape and I only anticipate how the rest will fall into place. Hi to all :)

It is so creative and beautiful that the photos don't begin to do it justice! Papa Bear and I are taking bets that in another year or so you'll have Tractorman convinced that the really BIG rock needs to be back there in the corner spot! ;-) This spot, like so many in your lovely yard, is just magical!
