A WALK
Are you sure you want to follow?
The water's cold and the rocks are hard
Are you sure you want to follow?
We will be leaving the safety of the yard
Are you sure you want to follow?
Lil's eyes said to me
Are you sure you want to follow?
Who knows what waits beneath the trees
I was sure to follow
Over ever hill and rock
I was sure to follow
Even through the gates that lock
I was sure to follow
Down the deep creek bed
I was sure to follow
Trusting I felt no dread.
We saw birds and cattle
We saw deer in a row
We saw our breath in the air
We decided it was time to go.

Ha Great one.
She does say a lot with her eyes doesn't she !
ha. too col here for a walk...you skin might fly off in the wind...or body parts freeze off....
i'd still be intrigued to follow...i am good for an adventure...
You have your new horse boots - of course you will follow!
Sure, why not ~ Just make sure its not bone chilling cold, smiles ~
I enjoyed this walk immensely. Smiles.
The eyes have it . . . good thing you listened.
Great post, Gail! :-)
Exquisite journey.
I Liked this... and it's playful spirit of adventure.
Love those eyes...of course you had to follow. Nothing like having a pal to take a scenic walk with.
Had to come visit another Gail...don't think we have met. I'm Gayle...
No words needed, they eye's tell everything.
cool and such expressive eyes ~
How gorgeous a beast is this, and the poem's not too shabby either... I have a wolf very much like the one pictured here (a brother from another mother?)...
My poem this week is up here:

Breath in the air - the essence of life and the hope of expectation. This is really expressive
Lil let you tag along on her walk and I'll bet you had those new boots on too eh :) Nice poem Gail and I love the look in Lil's eyes.eyes. Hugz to all.

Great expression in Lil's eyes. Good walk, thanks for taking us along in word. Oma Linda
if it were summer i would say i wish i was there to follow... but... i am freezing and it is 48 here. sooooo no follow today.
I enjoyed that walk! Beautiful deer!
Following a four-legged friend might be a blessing.
This has the feel and rhythm of a Mother Goose poem. It is charming and childlike. :-)
Of course we will follow- I'm always up for an adventure!
Love the poem. I just read "The truth about me" and knew I had to follow your blog. I agree with every word you wrote. Wish I could have written that! Thank you!
This was delightful. Made me want to talk a walk with that little dog myself!
=)
Thanks. I enjoyed your poem and going for a walk with you. I liked the repetition and similarity in your phrasing.
