Poetry Jam Refrigerator

For Poetry Jam
My refrigerator can't talk
Or it would scream
Empty me
Make me clean.
We have two rules
"If in doubt, throw it out"
"Please shut the doors"
I've added signs and more.
My family who does this
Can not see
The chaos that reigns
Inside this poor beast.

Just in case on the door
For all to see
Is the Poison Hotline
Placed there by me.

Oh that is funny! You are braver than I ever thought to show a photo of the inside of your refrigerator. I am glad you did - the poem is very real.

Just dawned on me - like my house too with the doors being left open, maybe we should be posting that hotline number on the inside of the refrigerator!

That looks like the inside of my fridge! I just took out about 5 containers of 'leftovers'. Thank goodness for chickens......

Empty me clean, now that really works. Loved this.

Nice one! I wonder why they haven't made fridges that speak yet. I am sure that we would respond well to dulcet tones emanating from the fridge saying things like: "Please shut my door"; "Oh, I do need a good defrosting..."; and "Have you checked my shelves for items that have gone bad?"

SO glad I returned for the last of Jam's poems last week! I think I've seen gadgets that actually warn fridge door openers/dieters about overeating .. like the sound of a pig oinking!
