The Moon Wanes...

The Moon Wanes
as my spirit
dulls
on foggy mornings
icy fingers of winter
tug me
into the Nether world.

I grip
the icy slope
looking up
as the clear
stars sparkle
with welcome

Seeking
summer's warmth
the memory
helps me believe
I am
no longer cold

Neat photo kinda partially hidden and just showing through the fog and great poem - well written that one can feel it. We just had a really foggy morning when the entire street looked like the beginning of a Stephen King Novel. It started raining yesterday and is still raining this morning. I am sure there is flooding out by the mall, but I haven't heard yet. It rained really hard all night and continues this morning with high winds. We are high and dry, so all is good. Hi to all n hugz to Marcy. Hope Maria is doing better. Prove your not a robot is showing up in all my friends posts today and yesterday. Has everybody changed back to identification thingie? Is it on mine when you post a comment?

Your poem left me all warm and cozy. Thanks for the writing, and the picture of the fog on the moon.

Pretty picture and great poem! I need to do some blog reading and catching up as I've been gone a few weeks due to family emergency in AZ.
