A Rebel, A Country Girl and The Ozarks

We live in the foothills of the Ozarks nestled not far from White River between the base of the Boston Mountains along the Springfield Plateau at the foot of Salem Plateau.  It is a land of beauty, mountains, caves, massive timber, wild game and water.  It is our personal slice of heaven.

Today I tried my camera to bring the Boston Mountains closer from the highest part of our farm.  It was a clear sunny warm day after months of up and down and sideways weather.
My Rebel and I are still getting to know one another.
Together we will improve.
Imagine the history in these mountains.
My ancestors and I are blessed to be part of that history...
on both sides of the river.

It's beautiful to live in the land where your ancestors lived and walked. Many of my progenitors moved to Iowa back in the 1850s. There's just something about it that makes the land feel home-like.

You live in some of the most beautiful country in Arkansas. I think we are at about 200 ft altitude.. that's why I call it a "hill" LOL

I feel blessed to live in the Ozarks, too. Wellll except in the winter, then I feel no blessings.

Wonder why they are called Boston Mountains.

When I lived in Illinois, we used to vacation at the Ozarks at the lake. I still like to drive through that area among the huge rock mountains.

You certainly are blessed, and you and your Rebel are making good progress I'd say just by looking at the distant mountains especially so!

You live in a beautiful area. If only it wasn't so humid in the summer.

Nice shot of the mountains. That is pretty country and you are lucky to have such a history with the land. That area was first on my list when I got to Arkansas. The house wasn't right so I kept moving south/west till I got here.
