a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

And The Beat Goes On

as does the work.  One tiny project seems to last longer than I expect.  This is the old smokehouse over a dirt cellar.  Both are still usable.  The dirt cellar actually is just holding our empty jars. Our houses hold the full ones.  The smoke house is mostly storage but makes a great drying place for herbs.  This is on my winter project list to organize again.
During the high temperatures the shade dictates my job for the day.
Cutting out the bird poop trees freeing the Sweet Williams to grow.
Time has a way of wearing things down.
Pieces of siding and fence will be reused.
My cow bone guarding the entrance got a new coat of paint.
Just for fun I added Welcome as you enter the yard.
I believe it's safe to say no one has a yard like mine.
I'm always armed with a camera.
Revelation!
That may be why jobs take me so long.
Being easily distracted is a blessing.
The front of the smoke house before
and after.
All by hand looking for rocks and stumps.
I'm tired.

Hello, you do seem to work hard. There must always be something to do? Your cow skull is cool, I like the colors. Pretty capture of the butterfly and your furbaby is a cutie! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

you are a hard working woman... all that work would put me in bed for a week or more... do you use the basement under the smoke house for when tornaod sirens go off? or do you have another cellar. i to am easily distracted by my camera and also by the ding of an email coming in, or a TV show or my kindle..... that is why jobs don't get done. i do have a load of towels in the wash if i can only remember to put them in the dryer.

I spent the morning yesterday helping hubby pull out the grass and weeds from the ground before the good dirt is put into the flower beds in our landscaping project. I was pooped and feel like I did calisthenics this morning.

Gail - I'm making you a cup of tea and sending it over ... virtually speaking of course!

You are one busy lady but I'm so pleased you have your camera to hand because we do get to share some lovely photo's with you.

Love the colours on the cow bone, and a nice touch with the welcome message.

Have a sit down my blogging friend ...

All the best Jan

Whew- you work too hard! :) I tried to clean out the grape arbor and got frustrated with my clippers..so dull they wouldn't cut butter.
Have a super weekend- this weather is sooo nice!

Really like the clean up job you did. Do you hire out? Also good that you keep your camera handy. I can't do both.

I say, you must be totally exhausted!
Sometime, could you post some photos of the interiors of cellar and smokehouse? Please?

Every single day you seem to check off another project . . ,
The list goes on though, never ending . . .
(Not to be down trodden or depressing or anything!)

So much to do, but you do well to capture each one. I know how one chore goes into another, though. I seem to have lost my creativity, though. I think the weeds have taken it.
