Another One Bites The Dust

I'm rather rough on flip flops.
These joined the huge pyre this week.
I shall miss them...
but I have blue,
pink,
red,
orange,
and sparkly ones to take their place.
Next time I may save the undamaged ones
to begin a new farm fashion.

Well, I'm thinking "Salvage" here. You have salvaged so many articles.....why not flip-flops, eh :)

I think you should make a piece of artwork with them.
Remember when those were called thongs?

Flip flops have been around forever.... Yours look like they served you well, Gail!

I see that! Wow. But they served you well right!

I was wondering why you don't save the undamaged flip-flops. And there you said you may just do that. I'll watch this space!

That time of year!! It is always sad though. Mine are looking quite worn out. :)

I was just thinking that I need to get a new pair of summer sandals while they go on sale, as mine are almost to the end of their rope.

I do the same thing to mine!

If you have a flip flop emergency you can save them by super glueing a bread clip to the peg end on the bottom! Yes, make yard art with the truly damaged! I cannot wear them, I faint when something is between my toes:)

oooooh i just hate when that happens!!!! especially when i am far from home!!!

Oh, poor you! I hate it when my 'go to' shoes stop working! I'm a Croc person - well, more often a 'Croc Knock-Off'. My favorite pair has worn so thin that every sticker comes through. I think they need to join your flip-flops in retirement!

Hello to my Arkansas Friend, Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. As you know (from my blog), I had a great day.

I cannot wear flip flops (feet in pretty bad shape )---so I'm jealous of those who can...

Hugs,
Betsy

At least you put them to good use. I do the same with mine!

I agree with Alex. Surely a creative mind like yours could construct art or useful item?
I cannot wear flip flops. My feet reject them.

After many years collecting beach litter of rubber thongs (I am an Australian, so mean foot wear) I once had a large collection of left and right items. What I did notice was if I checked the color match, none! 50 left and 50 right equals 100 colors!

Flip flops are the only things Eli ever chewed up. One of my black flip flops so I threw both away and bought a red pair. He chewed up one red flip flop. If I had kept the good black one I would have had a pair to wear. Nobody sees my feet out here in the woods anyway. :)

They have bottle trees, why not a flip flop tree?

I look forward to seeing your first farm pair. :-) Have a blessed weekend! ♥

heh. As long as they are not all the same foot, you could have a plethora of mixed pairs. I really want a pair of leather sandals again. I have not wound any in years. Its all plastic and synth fabric.

Is it always the right one that gets ripped, torn, worn out?
Looking forward to the fashion show/statement!

My daughter is the flip flop queen. As for me, can't stand the feeling of having that thong between my toes, though I used to wear them all the time as a kid.
