a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Defective Rubber Snake

It did not scare the rooster at all!
This rooster has changed his roosting spot to my front porch.
At least he's fertilizing the flowers.

Ode to Rooster

Oh, Rooster, dear
I see you there
Ruffling your feathers
Fluffing your tail
Sitting high on my rail

Take my advice
You'd better think twice
So early Do Not Crow
Or by the saints
You'll have to go

Three AM again at four
Wide awake I'm out the door
I insist you stop
Or you'll be crowing
From within my pot

I love your rooster song!! I have had the same thoughts or I did, mine did become dinner in the pot. He is very pretty.

Uh oh...I hope he rethinks his roosting spot, or at least his timing.

This was fun, and hooray for the flowers too!

Ha, Yes, at least the flowers appreciate all his hard work. I wouldn't like his early song either.

Brought a smile when I read the final stanza . . .
(Is that the right word, or is that for music, oh well, I think you'll know what I mean.)

What a neat solution to the problem. Pity the rooster is such a clever one!
