Survival

The blue birds forecast the weather
by hatching their third setting of eggs
what do they know?
it's always about survival of the species
for all animals
even humans
who think they are on top
above Nature
beyond destruction
We need to rethink that

I know which animal of which you speak. Man has since creation been at the top of the pile. We must care, as good stewards.

I think we've ceased to do what best.. For us as well as others.

What a joy to have bluebirds nesting in your garden. I am so envious! You make a very valid point in this poem, Gail.

True words--and as always, nature offers us a message we often don't bother to read.

Well said. I wish we had bluebirds here. I have only seen one, out east.

If only more than the few listened to Nature instead of trying to control and manipulate her.

3 sets of eggs!?? Wow, we must be nearer the edge of existence than I thought. At least you have the bluebirds to watch.

It is a mistake to think that any species is above nature. We are at her mercy. We definitely need to rethink that.

I wholeheartedly agree.

So far, we have survived, but the future is caving backwards on us; the idiots who refuse to believe global warming, the 1% who would rape for profit rather than save for our grandchildren; absolutely, WE definitely need to rethink that.
