Awaken, Ye Sleeping Ground

Tis time to awaken
We have fed you poop and compost
and carefully tilled the lumps and clumps of winter
Awaken, dear ground and be ready
You have rested the winter through
We shall lay the rows and plant the seeds
and you shall reward us with a wonderful harvest.
Thank you.

Lucky you! We had freeze warnings last night.

And the rewards will be so nice too. It is hard work but so worth it.

Love that freshly turned soil smell. You are about a month ahead of us here in SW Colorado. Looking very good ... till away!

The neighbor cut down a tree yesterday...like tilled soil, the cut wood smelled great...Looking forward to seeing all the stuff as your garden grows...

We had almost a week of warmer weather but as usual the temperature has plummetted again, with even some places farther north having snow. However spring work is pretty well done now in our area. All we need is some heat!

As ya notice, I wasn't 'round much last week...I was off lovin' the dirt. Oh baby, it's good to have a ring around the bathtub! Heeheehe!

You have a wonderfully blessed week my friend!

I wish I could smell that freshly prepared earth. Nothing smells quite as good as soil warmed by the sunshine.

I can't imagine a project of that size, I'm having trouble just getting my pasture reseeded.
