Early Morning Walk

The morning sun greeted me as I traveled the valley.  The dew was still on the grass and fog was low on the ground.  It was just around seven and a sweater would have felt good.  The air was crisp and fresh and the grass is greening up again.
The fog on the pond reminded me of the Creature From The Black Lagoon but I didn't see him, although he could have been there.  The dogs were finding great smells and enjoying hunting for any critters they could find.
The sun, coming over the mountain, was breathtaking.  The images in the pond were almost as clear as the actual objects.  The rain has filled the pond to overflowing again and I am so grateful.
There is just something about the morning light that makes every shot look good.  I love the brightness and the shadows and the quiet of a morning walk.
I am spotted by Arrow and the horses quickly surround me in hopes of treats.  I scratch them and hug them and bury my nose in their hair to enjoy the smell of a horse...nothing in the world, to me, smells as sweet.

We seem to have this in common. I love going for a early morning walk and watch the sunrise, the dew and my breath in the fresh chilly air and all of nature rising for the day. I have no horses, I did on the farm as a child and yes I to love the smell of a horse . One day I will find a way to have horses again.I do miss them. Wonderful photos and post as usual !

The early morning is a great time, especially if there are no other people about.
I, too, love a horsey smell, even the dung!(unlike hens' or pigs'!)and when I was small I loved going into the farm stable with all its smells, horses and leather.

It looks like autumn. It feels like it here. The sun, while still warm in the afternoon has changed its angle in the sky.

It's 56 degrees here this morning, and I am wearing wool.

Idyllic place. Gosh I'd love to be able to let my dogs wander with me off leash like you are able to. However, I'm grateful for what I have and am grateful you so generously share what you have :)

Oh, I loved that movie "Creature from the black lagoon." Maybe yours is camera shy.

Again great pics Gail. Looks like your morning was better than mine. :)

I just adore the way the light comes streamin' through the thicket of trees and are mirrored in the water. What lovely pics and a great day to take a morning walk.

I think Arrow is just awaitin' your nuzzle.

Have a beautiful day sweet Gail, it looks to me as if you had a great start!
